Community Yoga on the Green with Instructors from different studios in the Bay area
Marissa Victoria is 200 hour certified, currently working towards her 500 hour certification alongside of a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology, with Physical therapy as her emphasis. Her awareness of therapeutics is delivered through her classes with a strong attention to alignment for injury prevention. Not only does Marissa believe in the importance of a strong mind-body connection, she also teaches the importance of emotional healing through an intentional and balanced yoga practice and self care. She promotes living a happy and healthy life and strives to increase every one of her students' personal well-being and quality of life.
Kat Da Silva is passionate about working with young ladies and women regarding body empowerment—currently subbing at SoYY, a program that brings yoga and mindfulness into schools. Kat started Root to Rise Yoga in San Jose, CA, a donation-based yoga program, currently in East San Jose, that focuses on making yoga accessible for all people no matter financial status, ethnicity, life path, color, or body type. Classes are held around the Bay Area at local community events, organizations, and private sessions.
Rev. Devin Atma Sodt was initiated into Kriya Yoga in 2003 and ordained in 2009. He is an Associate Minister and serves as the Seva Residential Training Program Manager at CSE headquarters. Devin is a Meru Institute graduate. He has been teaching meditation and spiritual growth practices as well as hatha yoga since 2007, having completed a 500 hour hatha yoga teacher training program.
Badri Matlock is a dynamic teacher and Ananda Yoga retreat program leader. His dedicated practice of yoga and meditation began at age 17, and he has lived and taught at Ananda since 2009. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Kinesiology from California State Long Beach. Badri is a Ananda Yoga Instructor, E-RYT 500 and an Ananda Meditation teacher. While dedication to the spiritual life is his greatest passion, he loves family, community, music, surfing, and sports. He is known for his energetic presence and his love of service and having fun. He lives at Ananda Village with his wife, Gita, and children, Tulsi and Jay
